I had pretty much given up on a call from my Rolex AD. Over the last two years I have visited my Rolex AD 6 or 7 times (only two in my state, one near me). I bought my Tudor Pepsi GMT from them. It’s virtually impossible to walk into an authorized Rolex dealer and buy any of the brand’s popular tool watches, to say nothing of its steel models. This scarcity contributes to value retention while, at the same time, aggravating watch lovers beyond belief.Rolex only makes around 2,500 Daytona Ceramic’s and 3,500 Pepsi’s per year and there are around 1M people who want them. To say there aren’t enough to go around is a gross understatement. Raising prices to grey levels would only double grey prices. This isn’t so surprising when you get to really thinking about it.
