It should be as easy as possible to maintain and repair. Could someone possibly tell me which VSF Omega movement is closest to the ETA 2824. Looks to be a 2892 clone. The 2892 was the movement that a genuine Omega would have used (non coaxial) and the movement that the original 2500 coaxial movement was designed from. My suggestion is to first verify the movement, but I'm pretty positive it is based on the rotor assembly.The Omega Aqua Terra is an iconic watch. The movement is legit, but you have to know what to look for. There are counterfeited Omegas where the movement is faked by using a dummy upper side, mimicking the original, with a functional movement hidden underneath. Can you tell the original from the fake? Most foolproof method is to take a strong magnet and put it directly onto the caseback. Since it’s a METAS movement, it will be totally unaffected. If the watch stops or changes behaviour in any way, it’s fake. And before anyone downvotes me because they think this is bad advice, Omega themselves even suggest using this method, as shown here.
